New York And 9/11

With the 10th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks approaching, History Makers 2011 features an in-depth session exploring some of the most interesting recent documentary approaches to this calamity.

Moderated by Bill Reilly of Odyssey Networks, Master Class: 9/11 looks at two projects examining New York’s efforts to cope with the direct experience of 9/11.

Nicole Rittenmeyer’s 102 Minutes that Changed the World is well known to many delegates. She will walk delegates through the making of a program that plunged her into a world of images from many sources, immersing her and her audience in New York’s reaction to the disaster.

Rebuilding Ground Zero is a six and a half hour series by KPI Productions for Discovery. Christo Doyle, the EP from Discovery and Chris Cassel, the series' Writer and Director at KPI, will be onhand to show clips and discuss the special problems of this complicated, highly sensitive project.
